Halcro Johnston demands action as minister visits Moray
Jamie Halcro Johnston, Scottish Conservative MSP for the Highlands and Islands, has said that the SNP leader of Moray Council must demand a fairer deal from the SNP Scottish Government when Michael Russell MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Government Business and Constitutional Relations, visits Moray today.
Jamie said: “It is incumbent on Councillor Leadbitter to make the case for a fairer deal from the Scottish Government when he meets Michael Russell today.
“So far he has completely failed to make any impression on Nicola Sturgeon. Now he and Mr Russell have the chance to make amends.
“Recent revelations about the state of Moray’s school estate and the very poor financial settlement Moray receives from the Scottish Government means there is no excuse for further inaction.
“The people of Moray deserve better than these continued cuts to our services.”
