Commenting following a meeting in Elgin with the chief executive of the North East Sensory Services charity, Graham Findlay, Moray MP Douglas Ross said:
“I was delighted to meet Graham to hear about the amazing work North East Sensory Services does to help people in Moray who have sight and hearing difficulties. They have been well established in this area for many years, but like all other organisations, the Covid pandemic changed how they worked.
“There are currently about 1200 service users in Moray, and I know that they were supported so well during lockdown, which is testament to the amazing work that NESS does here in Moray.
“After more than a year, it is great that the service users in Moray can now make appointments at the resource centre in Elgin where they can once again receive the invaluable practical and emotional support provided by NESS in a face-to-face meeting.
“It’s great that we have such a wonderful service in Moray to help people deal with serious loss of sight or hearing and I’m grateful to Graham and all the team at North East Sensory Service who do such outstanding work.”
