MP’s Christmas Card competition winners go on display at Elgin Library
Moray MP Douglas Ross is delighted that Elgin Library has created a display from Christmas Card designs that were submitted to him by children from Moray’s primary schools.
Douglas said: “The children worked very hard on their designs and it is great that visitors to the library will have the opportunity to see the result of their efforts. We have a lot of talented young people in Moray and I think everyone will be impressed when they see the selection of entries on display and what they have achieved.”
Taking pride of place in the display is the winning design from Ally Webster, a Primary 2 pupil from Hopeman Primary School. Also, prominently featured are the designs of the five runners-up: Morgan Beattie of New Elgin Primary, Kelsei-Jane McWhirter of Anderson’s Primary, Forres, Maci McBain of St Thomas RC Primary, Keith, Graham Black of Cullen Primary School, and Tristan Taylor of Glenlivet Primary School.
Sheila Campbell, Principal Librarian, added: “We’re delighted to be able to share the imagination and creativity of some of Moray’s primary school children in Elgin Library. It must have been tricky for Douglas to choose just one winner from such a diverse selection of artwork.”
