Highlands and Islands MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston has commented on a data breach by NHS Grampian following a response to a Freedom of Information request by the Scottish Conservatives.
“A data breach involving the details of over 20,000 people is a concerning matter, even if it was to a “trusted colleague” and swiftly corrected.
“NHS Grampian must review its procedures to ensure there isn’t a repetition.
“Transparency and accountability are vital if the confidence of the public is to be maintained.
“It should not take a Freedom of Information request for a lapse of this magnitude to be revealed to the public”.
