Commenting on news that Allied Healthcare has withdrawn from delivering care packages to clients in Forres, Findhorn and Kinloss, Highlands and Islands MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston said: “Moray already faces a significant challenge with regard to the late discharge of elderly people from hospital; I fear that this news may make the situation worse.
“The statement from Jane Mackie makes it clear that this is not a short-term issue and , as she says, it is not going to go away.
“I am very concerned that we face a structural problem in providing care for the people who need it in Moray, and the Scottish Government really now needs to step in and recognise that our area needs more support for both health and social care provision.”
