Commenting on Ian Blackford’s offer to help make Jeremy Corbyn prime minister in exchange for a second independence referendum, Highlands and Islands MSP Scottish Conservative MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston, said:
“People in Moray, including some who may have considered backing the SNP, will be appalled by Ian Blackford’s offer to put Jeremy Corbyn into 10 Downing Street.
“I suspect even Moray SNP, and their newly selected candidate, will be furious that Mr Blackford has let the cat out of the bag, revealing the SNP are now happy to back Jeremy Corbyn for Prime Minister.
“The Scottish Conservatives are the only alternative to the nightmare scenario of a Sturgeon/Corbyn pact”.
