Cllr Tim Eagle - Leader of the Conservative group on Moray Council and Conservative candidate for the Scottish Parliament elections in 2021 has provided the below comment on the approval of todays Economic recovery programme at Moray Council. Something called for in a motion by the Conservative group earlier in the summer.
Cllr Eagle said;
“I welcome with grateful thanks the wide range of measures that have been included in Moray Councils economic recovery programme. This extensive programme has been developed following widespread consultation with businesses and the Moray Economic Partnership. From skills development to e-commerce and procurement this is a wide-ranging proposal which puts people and businesses at the centre. I look forward to seeing more developed proposals on each of the options in the near future”
“The slight sadness is that Coronavirus has been hard on so many once profitable businesses and even with all the measures being introduced some will continue to struggle particularly around cash flow issues. I thank all those who own and operate local businesses for their tenacity to continue despite the challenges. Let us all hope for a much brighter future.”
