“This is welcome news for the people of Lossiemouth who have been fighting for a replacement bridge since the well-used bridge previously accessing the East Beach was closed.
East beach is a beautiful beach where thousands of people a year enjoyed the summer sun or a crisp winter walk.
Without access to the beach local shops and restaurants have suffered and so seeing the project reach this stage is a real encouragement.
After all the hard work that has been put in by local people it is great to see the planning approved and we move onto the next stage of construction. I want to say a huge thank you to all those I have spoken to and worked with to get to this stage and I look forward to the community continuing to be a part as the project moves forward.”
